Sake Tachinomi
A Standing Bar Sake Tasting
Join us for an evening of sake featuring both beloved classics and exciting new releases paired with coastal-inspired small plates and great conversation.
Featuring Visiting Brewers
🍶 Fukucho Brewery | Hiroshima
From the shores of Hiroshima, home to some of Japan's finest oysters and the birthplace of ginjo sake, Miho Imada returns to the U.S. to share both iconic favorites and new releases making their debut stateside. As one of Japan's pioneering female toji (master brewers), Imada-san has earned international recognition for crafting elegant, expressive sake that beautifully reflects Hiroshima's brewing tradition.
🍶 Kumazawa Brewery (Tensei) | Kanagawa
Representing the coastline of Kanagawa, Kumazawa Brewery's Tensei sake captures the freshness of the sea with crisp, savory, and mineral-driven expressions. We'll be pairing these coastal styles with Italian-inspired bites - a nod to Kumazawa's own Italian restaurant located at the brewery.
Enjoy guided tasting flights and by-the-glass pours (available for purchase) alongside an unlimited selection of coastal-inspired small plates, served in the spirit of Japan's standing bars.
What is a Tachinomi?
Tachinomi (立ち飲み) literally means "standing drink."
These casual neighborhood bars are designed for gathering over sake, shochu, beer, and small plates while standing shoulder-to-shoulder at the counter. The atmosphere is lively, intimate, and wonderfully social.
For one evening, we'll recreate that experience at Sake Noire. Meet the brewers, taste through a lineup of exceptional sake, snack freely, ask questions, and linger as long as the conversation flows.
Your ticket includes:
A full guided tasting of every featured sake
Unlimited coastal-inspired snacks
Meet-and-greet with the visiting brewers
Bottle purchases and additional glass pours available throughout the evening
Food service concludes at 9:00 PM, but the celebration continues as long as everyone is enjoying themselves (we’ll do last call at 10pm).
