Every month, Sake Noire hosts an intimate speakeasy jazz jam on Monday night, featuring BIPOC and women jazz musicians. Tickets go 100% to the artists for their exclusive show. 1 drink minimum for post-show jazz jams. Ticket holders can enjoy both the show and the jam with drink minimum waived.

We're celebrating AAHNPI Month with Carter Eng! This month, Carter will be flying out from NYC to perform for us in the back bar of Kai's Bistro. In honor of AAHNPI month, Carter will be playing Jazz songs by fellow Asian American artists.
What to Expect:
A monthly Monday series spotlighting women and BIPOC musicians in an intimate back bar setting at Kai’s Bistro, home of Sake Noire.
Featuring: Carter Eng
Theme: “Jazz Songs by Asian Americans” - a tribute to AANHPI month.
Doors at 5PM. Please arrive between 5-530pm to order food + drinks (this gives the staff ample time to get the food and drink out to you before the show starts).
$35 tickets include the show + complimentary glass of sake + jam session (no drink minimum for ticket holders)(ticket sales go 💯 to the artists to support their work)
Non-ticket holders: 1 drink minimum applies for jam session entry
5-5:30PM - Doors open and arrival time
5pm-6:15pm - first round of drinks and food available for purchase
6:30–8:00PM — ticketed show begins with small break in between
8:30PM–10PM — Open jam session with last call at 930pm
Get to know the artist:
Carter Eng is a Chinese-Japanese American trumpeter and composer based in New York, exploring the boundaries of traditional and modern jazz. After completing his undergraduate studies in San Francisco, he returned back home to Seattle and performed regularly as a sideman and leader at venues such as the Seattle Jazz Fellowship and the Royal Room, in addition to being featured on the cover of Earshot Jazz Magazine. Carter is currently pursuing a master’s degree at the Manhattan School of Music.
